Our worksheets and assignments to the children are designed to initiate these HOTS (High Order Thinking Skills) and can be tailored to individual needs.
Studies show that students learn best when learning is active and fun, when they are engaged in hands-on classroom games and activities, and involved in what they are learning. Scientists believe that when children use all of their senses it helps the brain create pathways that make it easier and quicker to retain information.
The benefits of Hands-On Approach :-
According to Dr. Laura-Ann Petitto (born c. 1954) a cognitive neuroscientist and a developmental cognitive neuroscientist :
Learning a language is often said to be easy for children and to get more difficult as we age.
While it may seem easy for a child to learn multiple languages, exposure and consistency is important If a child does not have enough exposure to the target language, they cannot become fluent.
In Morning Star Kindergarten, children are exposed to 3 languages and allocation to learn the languages is fairly distributed. Language teachers are also specified to provide consistency and support.
The children are prepared to enroll into International Schools, Private Schools and National (SK) and SJK ( C ) Schools.
Every child is guided to a one to one reading programme. They will complete at least 6 readers in a year programme and in 3 languages. They are also to read at least one book per week, guided by the teacher and parents. The kindergarten offers a wide range of reading materials to be rent to the child each week. Reading makes a child broad minded, knowledgeable and keep abreast with the development of the world. One the best gift a school could offer to your kid is Reading Habit and the Fun in Reading.
